The department is engaged in training personnel in the field of tool technology and technology in the direction of "Design of technological machines and complexes – Design of tool complexes in mechanical engineering"
О кафедре
The department was founded in 1929 by Professor, Doctor of Technical Sciences I.M. Besprozvanny.
The main directions of scientific work are:
- development of new processes of mechanical and physical-technical processing of materials by cutting;
- deforming cutting;
- CAD of cutting tools;
- computer-aided design and 3D modeling of tool systems;
- computer diagnostics and control of machining processes;
- development of methods for processing non-metallic and composite materials.
Students of our department have the opportunity to fully demonstrate their abilities in solving a wide range of scientific and technical problems that require non-standard solutions.
The department has a good material base for conducting research and educational process: the machine park of the laboratory has more than 30 different machines, an optoelectronic measuring laboratory, a computing center equipped with modern computers and office equipment.
A specialization focused on computer modeling, design and control of machining processes is being created at our department. Along with the preserved traditions of Russian engineering education, students gain skills in the most modern software packages.
Graduates of our department work in various machine-building enterprises, organizations, tool companies, including enterprises of the military-industrial complex, organize their own competitive production and associations.
