S Department of Communications and Information Technology
The Department of Communications and IT trains students in military training programs for contract officers, reserve officers and sergeants. Training is conducted in military accounting specialties of the MD of Communications of the AF of the RF.

The department was founded in 2019.
The training of students is organized according to the program of military training for military service under contract in military positions to be replaced by officers (after receiving higher education) according to the programs of military training of officers, sergeants and reserve soldiers. Training is conducted in military accounting specialties of the Main Directorate of Communications of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
The main directions of scientific research:
- increasing the information content and noise immunity of radio equipment;
- unmanned aerial vehicles;
- increasing the automation of the processes of conducting radar reconnaissance of the airspace.

In the process of studying at the military department, students undergo training camps and internships in units and subdivisions of the Armed Forces of Russia.
Educational and familiarization and maintenance practices are held at the Kaluga branch of the Bauman Moscow State Technical University, where training samples of weapons, military and special communications equipment are deployed.
