The department graduates bachelors, masters, postgraduates, doctoral students in the field of creating medical and diagnostic devices and systems using modern mathematical, physical, physiological and informational approaches to solving biomedical problems. The specialty features are the acquisition of knowledge and skills that allow modeling processes in living organisms, evaluating the informative value of diagnostic methods and developing modern medical and technical technologies.

In the course of training, students receive a unique interdisciplinary medical and technical training, skills in creating and using modern medical and technical information technologies. The practice is conducted on the basis of leading Moscow medical and scientific organizations. Successful students are recommended to study under the international Master's program of a double degree with the University of Aachen (Germany). Graduates of the department work in research organizations of the Russian Academy of Sciences, FMBA, defense industry enterprises, advanced domestic and foreign enterprises - Schwabe, Olympus, Philips, General Electric, Siemens. The received education allows you to work successfully in advanced companies for the production and maintenance of medical equipment. In particular, graduates of the department successfully develop their careers in Skolkovo, Gormedtechnics, organizations of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Health, and other domestic and foreign medical and technical companies. Graduates work at Skolkovo, the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Engineering, the National Institute of Health, etc.
