Fundamental sciences
The scientific and educational complex "Fundamental Sciences" provides a unified methodological orientation of the work of educational units engaged in mathematical and natural science training of students.

О факультете
Students gain in-depth knowledge in the field of mathematical modeling of technical systems, applied mathematics, computational methods and computer technologies, software development, technical physics, foreign languages. The training is conducted through the participation of students in scientific research.
Students who demonstrate special academic success undergo internships at foreign universities and partner companies.
Areas of scientific activity: mathematical, computer modeling of technical systems and processes, composite and nanostructured materials, aerogasodynamic and thermophysical processes, forecasting the durability and resource of technical systems, physics of irreversible processes, optics of moving media, nonlinear optics and laser physics.
Where to work then? In scientific and production associations engaged in research and forecasting of various physical processes, institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences, as analysts and specialists in the field of forecasting and modeling of crisis and emergency situations in large Russian and Western consulting companies, public authorities, law enforcement agencies, state corporations.

Учёный-физик, академик РАН, доктор физико-математических наук. Специалист в области физики твердого тела, общей теории относительности, акустоэлектроники и акустооптики.

Зарубин Владимир Степанович
Доктор технических наук, Заслуженный деятель науки и техники Российской Федерации, академик Российской академии космонавтики, профессор. Специалист в области термомеханики материалов и теплонапряженных конструкций.

Крищенко Александр Петрович
Доктор физико-математических наук, профессор, главный научный сотрудник, член-корреспондент РАН. Научные работы посвящены анализу нелинейных динамических систем, синтезу алгоритмов управления для нелинейных систем и разработке средств и методов информационных технологий математического моделирования нелинейных систем.
