Mechanical engineering technologies
The faculty was founded in 1868. The entire range of technological directions, including materials processing, design, manufacture and restoration of parts and ensuring their quality, is presented at 13 departments.
The faculty is equipped with modern equipment and provides students with the opportunity to implement course projects and research results in practice.
Areas of scientific activity: development, processing and modification of properties of materials and products, creation of new structural materials, technological machines and tools, standardization, certification, diagnostics and quality management of mechanical engineering products, computer modeling of technological processes, creation of computer-aided design of technological processes and much more.
Where to work then? At enterprises of all industries, in Russian and foreign companies that develop, manufacture and sell industrial equipment, automotive, aviation and rocket technology, in the energy, oil and gas and space sectors, in scientific laboratories engaged in the study and creation of new materials.

The department of "Metal-cutting machines" was organized in 1930.
MT2 Instrumental equipment and technologies
The department is engaged in training personnel in the field of tool technology and technology in the direction of "Design of technological machines and complexes – Design of tool complexes in mechanical engineering"
MT3 Mechanical engineering technologies
The department is engaged in the development of advanced technological processes of mechanical assembly production, reduction of material and labor costs for the manufacture of products.
MT4 Metrology and interchangeability
The department of "Metrology and Interchangeability" was established in 1931.
MT5 Foundry technologies
Fields of activity of graduates: digitalization of foundry processes and programming of foundry equipment, computer modeling of casting processes, conducting research in the field of hybrid casting technologies.
MT6 Pressure treatment technologies
The department trains specialists in the specialization "Design of technological complexes in forging and stamping production".
MT7 Welding, diagnostics and special robotics
The Department of Welding Technology and Diagnostics was established in 1933.

The Department of Materials Science was founded in 1929.

The Department of Industrial Design was founded in 2010.
