Educational grants (Quota)

The government of the Russian Federation annually provides 15,000 places for free training of foreign citizens.. The competitive selection for free training within the quota is organized by the representative offices of Rossotrudnichestvo in many countries of the world. If there is no representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in the country, the competitive selection is organized by the embassy (consulate) Russian Federation

What do you need done?

  1. 1.
    Register on the website and fill out the application form online.
  2. 2.
    Attach copies of the documents.
  3. 3.
    Pass the competitive selection in your country, through testing.
  4. 4.
    Select up to 6 universities and wait for the application to be approved.
  5. 5.
    Get a visa and come to Russia.

 

How does the competitive selection process work?

The candidate must register on the Russia.study portal and submit an application for a quota.

The competitive selection takes place in two stages.

  • The first stage will be held in your country. To do this, you need to contact the Russian Center for Science and Culture of the RCSC. If there is no RCSC in your country, you need to contact the Embassy of the Russian Federation.
  • The second stage is the selection of suitable candidates by Russian universities. The results of the competitive selection will be known after the universities have considered all the applications received.

How to enroll in a paid form of education:

Start date of documents submission: From 01.07-27.08

Exams: From 01.07-11.08 (Budget / Contract) and 30.08 (Contract)

At the beginning of the admission committee, you must:

1. Registration on https://priem.bmstu.ru/

2. Upload your documents:

  • National passport and its copy with all the data, and the translation into Russian language, certified by a notary (if necessary, if the data in the original document is not duplicated in Russian language).
  • Diploma and the annex to the diploma with the indication of the subjects studied and the qualifications received by them (original) and the translation into Russian, notarized (if necessary, if in the original document the data are not duplicated in Russian language).
  • Medical certificate (form 086-u) in Russian language or issued by a medical institution in the host country and translation into Russian certified by notary (if necessary, if the data in the original document is not duplicated in Russian language).
  • Medical certificate indicating the absence of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and AIDS disease, issued by an official health authority and translated into the Russian language, certified by a notary (if necessary, if the data in the original document are not duplicated in Russian language).
  • 6 color photos 3 x 4. on matte paper.
